The historic club house was built in 1863 by John Macquarie Antill. This magnificent old building overlooks the hills and valleys of Jarvisfield Estate. This delightful course has the envious reputation as having one of the most relaxed atmospheres of any course in N.S.W and prides itself on having a challenging layout with excellent putting surfaces on their greens. The par 70 layout has an A.G.U rating of 69.

 Description:
The course is 6,061 metres in length, a group one rated course by the New South Wales Golf Association and as such is maintained to be presented with quality playing conditions at all times. The course is regarded as a fair, but challenging course for golfers of all standards and is truly a hidden green oasis in the Greater Blacktown Region.

Membership of the club currently consists of seven day, six day and five day male and female adult golfers, non-golfing members, along with a strong base of intermediate (18-23) junior (14-18) and cadet members (Under 14).

The golf course continues to be very popular with both members of Ashlar and other golf clubs and non-members looking for a round of social golf. Over 30,000 rounds of golf are played annually in organised club competitions and social golfing by members and social golfers accounts for a further 30,000 rounds of golf each year. The club boasts a fleet of modern Yamaha motorised electric golf buggies that are available by booking through the club's pro shop.

The clubhouse offers comfortable lounge and gaming facilities for members and guests. The clubhouse facilities also include two function rooms and the Ashlar Restaurant that are available for use by members and for corporate and private conference and function activities.

 Description:
The Avondale golf course, founded in 1926, is set in the leafy suburb of Pymble on Sydney's north shore and is one of the most peaceful courses in the metropolitan area in that there are no major roads on the course's boundaries. This delightful atmosphere allows the golfer to play with very few distractions and she or he can concentrate on their game and their tussle with the course without the intrusions of outside noises.

The Avondale Club has been generous in allowing its course to be used for a number of NSW Golf Association and NSW Ladies Golf Union fixtures. It is a favourite with Country Week players and here is what was said about it in a description of Country Week courses published recently: "Although Avondale is located almost in the centre of Sydney's densely populated North Shore, the course offers almost complete seclusion".

Shorter than most championship courses, trees play a big part here and accuracy is essential. The layout starts innocently enough but gradually builds up into a toughness that makes even the finest golf think clearly and positively. Play anywhere close to your handicap at this beautiful course and you'll drive away from the spic-n-span white clubhouse a very happy player.

 Description:
Bardwell Valley Golf Course was set up under an arrangement between Rockdale Council and Bexley Golf Club. The course was carved out of original bushland terrain, firstly operating as 9 holes in 1964, then 12, and finally 18 holes in 1978.

The original native vegetation on the perimeter of the course presents an attractive back drop, enhanced by substantial planting within the course from seed stock of the original trees and shrubs.

Whilst only a short course (10 par 3’s & 8 par 4’s), the course is cleverly laid out to minimize the impact of the hilly terrain. From the highler parts of the course, the city skyline including Cenrepoint Tower can be clearlyseen.

Beautifully maintained, the course is a popular venue for members, local residents and many who travel some distance to enjoy the convivial atmosphere of both course and clubhouse. The course is also a popular venue for social golf clubs and corporate golf days.

Bayview Golf Club is a Private Golf Club situated in the Northern Beaches area of Metropolitan Sydney. It is 18 holes of pure delight hidden away amongst the folding hills of the Peninsula.

Ross Watson, a doyen of Course Architects, has been retained to prepare a master plan to redevelop Bayview. Much has already been completed by installing new water storage facilities and allowing Bayview to be self sufficient with its water requirements, however there is still much to be completed to raise Bayview to realise its full potential.

Bayview?s tree lined and undulating fairways are impressive and are a very good test of golfers skill.

When playing at Bayview, beware of the water, If you like a challenge, this will satisfy.

Bayview members recently supported its Board of Management with a resounding 90% voting in favour of relocating the Clubhouse. The development application for the new club house is presently with Pittwater Council for their approval. Joining this prestigious private club will enhance your golf, and, no doubt broaden your business acquaintances. Bayview is, currently, the least expensive private golf club, to join in the northern metropolitan region. Once the new facilities are available to its members and their guests, Bayview will truly be the pearl of golf courses on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.
