| Description:
Richmond boasts its own version of "Amen Corner", where a small prayer in the right direction will go a long way.
The 13th, 14th and 15th holes provide a test of nerve and skill.
The 13th is a long straight par 4 with a narrow neck approximately 150 metres from the green. The position of the drive is crucial on this hole, as is the apporach to a green that has some interetesting undulations and a general slope from front to back.
The 14th is the signature hole on the course being another long par 4 with a substantial dog leg running right to left. Water surrounds the landing area of the drive and the approach to the large green. The hole does not let up for a moment. A par or better is a joyous occassion.
The 15th is a 161 metre par 3 with all but 30 metres being a carry over water. The shot to a pin cut on the right hand side of this green requires nerves of steel. Some players suggest this is the best hole on the course.
A par, par, par journey through Amen Corner is certainly an achievement.
